In My Lazy Girl Job Era
Earlier this month I came across the Anti Work Girlboss substack. And whilst my millennial self does not identify with the girl boss rhetoric, I am intrigued by the idea of a Lazy Girl Job.
Here’s the thing, I followed all the rules: did good in secondary school✅, got into a good university ✅, graduated ✅, landed a good job ✅, got a masters ✅
and yet…
I’m unhappy with my professional life and have been for a while – like 5 out of my short 7 year career.
I really don’t understand why I cant make it work.
But as I’m on the precipice of another birthday (yes, I’ll be 32 on Thursday) I cant help but feel disillusioned with life. I’ve done everything right and yet, I’m not “winning” and I want to change that. I want to truly feel happy with the work that I’m doing and my pay and I’ll be giving myself the next 365 days to make that ish happen.
So cheers to me and to turning things around 33rd year of life🥂
